From Rascal-Bot. This little guy seems to like to hang out at the fringes of cataclysmic events. There is no evidence to suggest he has anything to do with the caus... Mechanical type. Three of his attacks are references to the Star Trek reboots. and are obvious.
Rascal-Bot is an Engineering-crafted battle pet and a tribute to Bad Robot productions, built using a schematic dropped by mobs in the world.

Obtain 
Schematic: Chief Engineer Jard's Journal, which drops from any mob above level 88. This schematic teaches you how to craft Rascal-Bot alongside several other Engineering items.
Craft the Rascal-Bot
Use the schematic to craft 
Rascal-Bot. The crafted item is bind-on-pickup, but can be caged after learning and traded or listed on the Auction House.
Check Your Pet's Breed
Rascal-Bot can come in different breeds when crafted — you may receive a P/B breed rather than the H/B breed, so the stats on your version may vary from other players' copies.
Tips
Three of Rascal-Bot's battle abilities reference the Star Trek reboot films, one references J.J. Abrams's signature lens flares, one references the amber from Fringe, and Plot Twist directly references the polar bears from LOST — all nods to Bad Robot productions.
