The Wild Golden Hatchling is a level 22-24 serpent pet found in the Arboretum that requires exalted reputation with a faction before you can encounter it in battle.

Reach exalted reputation
Achieve exalted standing with the required faction to unlock the ability to battle wild serpent pets, including the Wild Golden Hatchling.
Farm in the Arboretum
Travel to the Arboretum and search for wild hatchlings. They spawn frequently throughout the zone and share spawn points with garden frogs.
Clear competing critters
Kill garden frogs and other critters in the area to encourage hatchling spawns. If you do not see any hatchlings, eliminate the critters nearby.
Battle and reset spawns
Engage hatchlings in pet battles and flee to cycle spawns until the Wild Golden Hatchling appears. Repeat this process to find a rare-quality version.
Tips
The Wild Golden Hatchling shares an identical moveset with the Wild Jade Hatchling, unlike the Wild Crimson Hatchling which has different abilities.
Only the character with exalted reputation can battle these wild pets; the ability does not transfer to other characters on your account even if they share faction progress.
