Shy Bandicoon
Source: Pet Battle. A goblin alchemist once claimed that the bite of this raccoon gave him the gift of prophecy. Turns out, it was just rabies. Critter type. As far as I can tell, these are like the 'special mobs' o other areas. They only spawn as battle pets and will never come as secondaries in any battle.
The Shy Bandicoon is a wild battle pet found in Pandaria that spawns only as a primary battle pet in the Paoquan Hollow area of the Valley of the Four Winds.

Travel to Paoquan Hollow
Fly to Paoquan Hollow in the Valley of the Four Winds, covering the area south of The Singing Marshes down to Stoneplow and as far east as the southern point of Skyrange. Shy Bandicoons appear only as primary pets and will never show up as secondaries in any battle.
Clear Normal Bandicoons First
If no Shy Bandicoons are visible, defeat the normal Bandicoons and Bandicoon Kits in the area, as Shy Bandicoons share spawn points with them and clearing others can prompt a Shy Bandicoon to take their place.
Hunt Only Dark-Colored Ones
Shy Bandicoons only appear in the standard dark coloring — they never spawn in the blue/grey or albino coloring seen on regular Bandicoons and Bandicoon Kits, so only dark-colored individuals are Shy Bandicoons.
Watch for Respawn Competition
After battling all Shy Bandicoons in an area, normal Bandicoons and Marsh Fiddlers are more likely to take the open spawn slots, which can leave the area temporarily empty of Shy Bandicoons for an extended period.
Tips
Multiple Shy Bandicoons can be active in the area at the same time, so checking a wider stretch from Paoquan Hollow to Stoneplow gives more targets per pass.
