Pterrordax Hatchling

Battle Pet· Wrath of the Lich KingPROFESSIONFlying type
Profession

From Pterrordax Hatchling. Pterrordax eggs are incubated underneath the fossils of their forebears, allowing the hatchlings to absorb their ancestors' ferocity and intelligence. Flying type. As Legoharry said below, though it got kind of buried so I'm re-posting it, this is gotten from archaeology not from a pet battle.

The Pterrordax Hatchling is a flying battle pet obtained through Archaeology, not through pet battles.

Guide awaiting review

1

Obtain via Archaeology

The Pterrordax Hatchling is discovered through Archaeology. Continue completing dig sites and solving artifacts until the hatchling is revealed as a reward.

2

Use Slicing Wind Consistently

Slicing Wind is essential as a filler ability because the Pterrordax Hatchling's other abilities all have long cooldowns. Without it, you will have turns where no other skill is available to use.

3

Maximize Damage with Flyby

Use Flyby to increase the damage your target takes by 25%, then follow up with your hardest-hitting abilities to capitalize on the debuff.

4

Time Lift-Off for Defense

Use Lift-Off at the right moment to avoid incoming attacks, as it helps mitigate damage while keeping the Pterrordax Hatchling alive longer.

5

Target Aquatic Pets

The Pterrordax Hatchling deals especially high damage to aquatic pets and performs well against enemies that do not use Magic attacks. At level 25 rare quality, it reaches 322 attack power, 1400 health, 260 speed, and 260 power base stats.

Tips

  • Ancient Blessing allows the Pterrordax Hatchling to heal itself and restore the Flying family's 50% speed bonus if it has been lost.

  • The Pterrordax Hatchling has a notably high miss rate on some abilities compared to equivalent pets, so factor this into your strategy when relying on specific hits.
