The Ore Eater is a Warlords of Draenor battle pet obtained as a rare drop from Goren Protectors that occasionally spawn while mining ore veins in your garrison mine.

Mine Your Garrison Veins
While mining ore veins in your garrison mine, a Goren Protector will occasionally spawn as an enemy. Kill it for a chance at the Red Goren Egg, which teaches the Ore Eater pet. Spawns are rare — expect only 1–2 Goren Protectors per week from a level 3 garrison mine, and the egg itself has a very low drop rate on top of that.
Buy From Another Player
If farming proves too slow, the Ore Eater is tradeable and can be purchased from other players on the Auction House. Alternatively, a Goren Protector can be found at 40.6, 67.8 if you need a specific location to target the mob directly.
Tips
A garrison guard will assist you in killing the Goren Protector when it spawns, so you do not need to be in combat range immediately.
