Eastern Plaguelands is the most reliable zone to find the Infected Fawn. Primary spawns appear more frequently in the northern part of the zone than the southern part.
Hunt Secondaries Aggressively
The Infected Fawn shows up roughly 1 in 6 times as a secondary pet in Eastern Plaguelands battles, so engage as many pet battles as possible to increase the number of secondary encounters.
Check Silverpine and Bloodmyst
If you are in Silverpine Forest, the Infected Fawn has been spotted accompanying a level 5 pet as a secondary, though it is very rare. One confirmed sighting was also reported in Bloodmyst Isle for those not near Eastern Plaguelands.

A rare quality Infected Fawn captured in Eastern Plaguelands at level 12 has 794 health, 139 power, and 123 speed. In PvP pet battles, pairing its naturally high speed with Adrenaline Rush lets it act first every round, and Flurry deals bonus damage when going first, while Siphon Life provides self-healing.
Tips
A good name for this pet is Zombi — say it out loud and it makes sense.
