Unlock Protoform Synthesis Crafting
Before you can craft the Fierce Scarabid, you must unlock Protoform Synthesis by completing the prerequisite storyline in Zereth Mortis that grants access to the Synthesis Forge.
Find the Schematic in Zereth Mortis
Head to the Plain of Actualization and locate the platform where the Malfunctioned Constructor stands at 61.19, 42.51. The 
Schematic: Fierce Scarabid is hidden underneath the platform — jump down to the west side and look under it to pick it up.
Learn the Schematic at Synthesis Forge
Bring the schematic to the Synthesis Forge (Protoform Repository) to learn the recipe for crafting the Fierce Scarabid at 61.24, 42.58.
Gather the Required Reagents
Collect all three crafting materials: 400x 
Genesis Mote, which drop from mobs all across Zereth Mortis; 1x 
Glimmer of Motion, which drops from Grasslands Raptora and Desert Raptora; and 1x 
Scarabid Lattice, which drops from scarabid mobs such as Sand Matriarch Ileus, Hadeon the Stonebreaker, and Vespoid Worker. The Scarabid Lattice can also be purchased from the Auction House.
Craft the Fierce Scarabid
Return to the Synthesis Forge with all reagents in hand and craft your Fierce Scarabid. The pet is cageable, meaning it can also be traded or sold to other players on the Auction House.
