Father Winter's Helper
Drops from Gaily Wrapped Present. These off-season allies work tirelessly to prepare for the Feast of Winter Veil, and would appreciate not being disturbed the rest of the year. Humanoid type. Green quality Battle Pet No longer requires a Snowball to summon, but will automatically complain and then dismiss itself if summoned outside of the Winter Veil holiday event.
Father Winter's Helper is a companion pet obtained from presents under the tree in Ironforge during the Feast of Winter Veil world event.

Open Presents in Ironforge
During the Feast of Winter Veil, open the presents under the tree in Ironforge to receive either a
Red Helper Box (female) or a
Green Helper Box (male), each of which teaches Father Winter's Helper.
Buy from Auction House
Since the Red Helper Box and Green Helper Box are not soulbound, you can purchase whichever version you are missing from the Auction House if you did not obtain one during the event.
Counts Toward Pet Achievements
Father Winter's Helper counts toward the 50 companion pet achievement, and collecting all four Winter Veil pets — including the Snowman, Red Helper, Green Helper, and Reindeer — contributes significantly toward the 100 pet achievement as well.
Tips
As of patch 4.3, Father Winter's Helper no longer requires a snowball to summon, but summoning him outside of the Feast of Winter Veil season will cause him to emote and hearth back to Father Winter.
