Wait for Darkmoon Faire
The Darkmoon Rabbit boss only spawns during the Darkmoon Faire world event. Head to Darkmoon Island when the event is active.
Find and Defeat the Boss
Locate the Darkmoon Rabbit boss at 76, 78.4 on Darkmoon Island and defeat it. Only one player in the raid receives the pet as a drop, so you will need to win the roll against other participants.
Check the Auction House
If you cannot win a roll on the Darkmoon Rabbit, the pet is tradeable and may be available for purchase from other players on the Auction House, though prices vary.
Choose the Right Breed
For pet battles, the Darkmoon Rabbit comes in the S/S breed with stats of 1400/228/358 at level 25. Its abilities Huge, Sharp Teeth! and Vicious Streak differ from other rabbits, meaning alternative breeds are also viable since Huge, Sharp Teeth! is not speed-oriented like Flurry found on other rabbit pets.
Tips
Unlike most other rabbits and hares whose effectiveness heavily depends on speed for Flurry, the Darkmoon Rabbit's Huge, Sharp Teeth! ability is not speed-oriented, making non-S/S breeds a reasonable alternative for pet battles.
