Azure Whelpling
Source: Drop. Like other members of the blue dragonflight, these whimsical little critters display an affinity to arcane magic. Dragonkin type. I do not understand the weather effects very well yet. His level 2 ability is Arcane Storm, which clearly states "pets cannot be sunned or rooted".

Travel to Winterspring
Head to Winterspring, where the Azure Whelpling can drop from all mobs in the zone. There are 4-5 good farming areas within Winterspring worth rotating between to maintain efficiency.
Farm Lake Kel'Theril Circuit
Start on the north side of Lake Kel'Theril at 64.35, 49.34 in Winterspring, then wind around to the east, south, and back to the west — by the time you complete the full loop, the first mobs have already respawned, allowing for continuous farming.
Rotate to Winterfall Village
After completing your Lake Kel'Theril circuit, move on to Winterfall Village and the Timbermaw Post area as an alternative farming route to break up the repetition of staying in one spot.
Tips
Drop rate data from in-game addon trackers such as those aggregated on Wowhead is more reliable than individual player reports of how long a drop took.
