Travel to the Storm Peaks in Northrend to find Arctic Hares as wild pets. They are available in multiple breeds including H/H, P/P, S/S, H/P, P/S, and H/S, so check the breed of each one you encounter before capturing.
Farm Near Arctic Fox Kits
Battle Arctic Fox Kit groups in the Storm Peaks rather than hunting Arctic Hares in isolation — rare Arctic Hares appear at a noticeably higher rate alongside Arctic Fox Kits. Players have reported finding 5 rare Arctic Hares across just 10 Arctic Fox Kit battles.
Use Water Waveling to Speed Farming
Bring a Water Waveling pet to grind for rare Arctic Hares efficiently. The Arctic Hares respawn quickly and are close together, so you can start a battle and forfeit immediately if no rare version joins the fight, then move to the next group.
