Farm Arakkoa Fragments
Gather Arakkoa Archaeology fragments until you have 200, which is the amount required to solve the Ancient Nest Guardian artifact.
Collect Four Arakkoa Ciphers
Obtain up to four Arakkoa Ciphers before attempting to solve — you can either collect them through Archaeology or purchase them from the Auction House. Having them ready before you hit your fragment cap prevents wasting fragments while hunting for more.
Solve the Artifact
With 200 Arakkoa fragments and your Ciphers in hand, solve the Ancient Nest Guardian artifact in your Archaeology journal to receive the pet.
Tips
Arakkoa Ciphers can fill up to four keystones slots in the solve, so having all four ready before solving will save you from being fragment-capped while still needing more ciphers.
