Sold by Pogg. Occasionally sneaks bites of food from kills made by much larger animals. Beast type. Seems like a rather rare spawn, but possible to get as a backup pet so do challenge all the pets you find in the area marked on the map.

1

Search Spawn Locations

The Alpine Foxling Kit is a rare spawn, so check all marked locations across the zone. Use these waypoints to cover the area systematically: at 61.2, 53.2 then at 54.4, 42.2 then at 52.6, 62.6 then at 50, 59 then at 47.2, 60.4 then at 43.6, 65.2 then at 42.2, 60.6 then at 39.8, 68 then at 35.8, 64.2 then at 39, 82 and at 32.6, 50.6. Challenge every Alpine Foxling you find, as a rare quality one may appear as a secondary pet in battles.

2

Try Plains Monitor Secondaries

Alpine Foxling Kits have been found as secondary pets in battles against Plains Monitors just northwest of Binan Village, so battling those NPCs is another reliable way to encounter them.

3

Herd Foxlings From a Pack

If you find the right pack of tamable foxlings, leave the mother fox alive after battling the kits — the foxlings will respawn later with a different set of secondary pets and qualities. Note that the northwest spawn location is on uneven terrain and cannot reliably be used to initiate battles, so focus on the other spawn points.

4

Buy From Vendor as Backup

If capturing one in the wild proves difficult, Pogg at 54.4, 80.4 in Tol Barad Peninsula sells a version of this pet as an alternative source.

Tips

  • The spawn rate of tamable foxling packs is low — most spawns are either the untamable version with a foxling, or a tamable fox without foxlings, so multiple clears of the zone may be needed.
