Complete Normal Mode Dungeons
First, complete all five pet battle dungeons on normal mode (reviving and bandages allowed): Wailing Caverns, Deadmines, Gnomeregan, Stratholme, and Blackrock Depths. Finishing each dungeon on normal mode unlocks its challenge mode.
Complete Challenge Mode Dungeons
Return to each of the five pet battle dungeons — Wailing Caverns, Deadmines, Gnomeregan, Stratholme, and Blackrock Depths — and complete them in challenge mode, meaning no reviving pets or using bandages at any point during the run.
Tips
When the toy is active, your battle pet is not stealthed or invisible — other players can see and target it, and enemies can attack and one-shot it.
Using this toy removes the
Magical Pet Biscuit and 
Narcissa's Mirror buffs from your pet, so avoid activating it if those buffs are active.
