Complete Darkshore Quest Chain
Alliance players must work through a multi-part quest chain in Darkshore beginning with The Last Wave of Survivors and Threat from the Water, then continuing through The Boon of the Seas and the Buzzbox 413 chain including No Accounting for Taste and Buzzbox 723.
Continue Through Corruption Quests
Progress through A Cure in the Dark and The Corruption's Source, then continue the chain through Unsavory Remedies, Twice Removed, and Ritual Materials, eventually completing The Ritual Bon to finish the chain and earn Withers.
Horde: Buy From Apothecary Furrows
Horde players can skip the quest chain entirely and instead purchase Withers directly from Apothecary Furrows at 57.9, 32.8 in Darkshore.
Tips
Withers shrinks over time through four visible stages while summoned, going from roughly jaw-height on a worgen down to standard mini-pet size, but dismissing and resummoning him restores him to full size.
Dragging Withers into water or lava will also cause him to regrow to his full size without needing to dismiss him.
