Travel to Isle of Thunder
Head to the Isle of Thunder in Pandaria to search for Swamp Croakers in the wild. They are sparsely found across the zone and are commonly accompanied by cockroaches and spiders.
Capture a Swamp Croaker
Look for either the green or blue color variant of the Swamp Croaker. Neither color variant changes color — what you see is what you get, so seek out the blue version if you prefer the poison dart frog appearance.
Avoid Nearby Mob Aggro
Be cautious of nearby Troll mobs while hunting for a rare Swamp Croaker, as any area-of-effect damage from mobs or your own abilities can kill a rare frog before you get a chance to capture it.
Tips
The Swamp Croaker is a strong counter to undead pets like Val'kyrs and Fossilized Raptors in PvP pet battles, taking reduced damage from undead attacks while dealing heavy damage back with critter-type moves.
