Locate G'nathus
G'nathus is a rare elite that patrols the waters south of Shan'ze Dao. Head to the southern shoreline of the island to find him.
Kite and Slow G'nathus
G'nathus must be slowed at all times during the fight — a Warlock is ideal for this role, as their slows can be kept up consistently while dealing damage through kiting. You cannot afford to take a melee hit from G'nathus, so use crowd control such as Fear if he gets too close.
Manage Damage and Healing
Life Drain is sufficient to stay healed through G'nathus's lightning zaps during the fight. Non-elite mobs you pull along your kiting path will naturally reset when you run away from them and can be ignored.
Collect the Spawn of G'nathus
G'nathus has a 100% drop chance for the Spawn of G'nathus pet. Note that the pet's breed in the Pet Journal is B/B (ID #3), not the previously listed P/B (ID #10).
Tips
Warlock is the recommended class for soloing G'nathus due to persistent slows, the ability to DPS while kiting, and self-sustain through Life Drain.
