Sold by Saccratros. Because their dens tend to be close to drogbar settlements, these snails are both faster and stronger than those on the surface. Critter type. To ensure it doesn't kill itself while capturing, you can forfeit the battle and try again until it doesn't have the Crystal Overload ability.

Travel to Scarlapod spawn locations
Head to Zaralek Cavern and visit the known Scarlapod spawn points at 58.0, 65.4 or at 59.4, 64.2 or at 59.8, 57.4 or at 60.4, 56.0 or at 42.1, 75.4.
Force spawn by killing Cobbleshell
Kill Cobbleshell battle pets and critters in the area to force Scarlapod to spawn faster.
Capture the rare pet
When Scarlapod appears, engage it in battle. Do not use abilities that lower its health to exactly 1 HP, as it will kill itself. If it has the Crystal Overload ability, forfeit and try again until it spawns without this ability.
