The Netherspace Abyssal is a battle pet from the Raiding With Leashes expansion, obtained by defeating Prince Malchezaar in Karazhan, who drops the 
Netherspace Portal-Stone.

Enter Karazhan Raid
Travel to Karazhan and enter the raid. The Netherspace Abyssal is tied to Prince Malchezaar, the final boss of the instance.
Clear the Chess Event
Before reaching Prince Malchezaar, you must complete the Chess Event. Start by activating your King piece and buffing your troops, then move the Rooks (elementals or demons at the outer edges of the board) diagonally into the main battle area to bring their AoE to bear on the enemy pieces.
Defeat Prince Malchezaar
After the Chess Event, push through to Prince Malchezaar and defeat him. He has a chance to drop the Netherspace Portal-Stone, which teaches you the Netherspace Abyssal pet.
Tips
When running the Chess Event, move the pawns in front of your King and Queen so you can reposition your King whenever Medivh cheats by setting the board on fire — always move the King unless the enemy King is nearly dead.
