Lashtail Hatchling
Quest reward from An Old Friend. Born in the jungles of Stranglethorn, unlucky raptor hatchlings are often captured by the Gurubashi and taken to the troll city of Zul'Gurub. Beast type. Once or is complete, it unlocks which rewards the rare quality B/B Beast battle pet .

Lashtail Hatchling is a companion pet obtained by completing a quest chain in Northern Stranglethorn that culminates in a encounter inside the Zul'Gurub dungeon.

Start the Quest Chain
Alliance players begin at the Rebel Camp in Northern Stranglethorn with the quest Bad Medicine. Horde players begin at Grom'gol with the quest The Defense of Grom'gol: Raptor Risk, given by Commander Aggro'gosh.
Receive the Hatchling Quest
After completing the opening quest, you will automatically receive a follow-up quest tied to the 
Lashtail Raptor Egg Fragment. If your bags were full when you received it, check your in-game Mail.
Complete the Quest Chain
Alliance players follow an 11-step chain: Bad Medicine, Just Hatched, I Think She's Hungry, The Fate of Kurzen, Spared from Madness, Deep Roots, Favored Skull, A Nose for This Sort of Thing, A Physical Specimen, Bloodlord Mandokir, and finally An Old Friend. Horde players follow a parallel chain beginning in Grom'gol with Far Seer Mok'thardin.
Enter Zul'Gurub Dungeon
Enter the Zul'Gurub instance and defeat Bloodlord Mandokir. The Lashtail Hatchling will appear inside the dungeon only after this boss is defeated, as the final quest An Old Friend is completed there.
