Enable Minimap Pet Tracking
Before heading out, enable 'Track Pets' on your minimap to make spotting Kun-Lai Runts significantly easier in the field.
Travel to Shado-Pan Monastery
Head to the path leading from the Winter Blossom flight point up to Shado-Pan Monastery. The majority of Kun-Lai Runts spawn along this path, directly in front of the Monastery, and near the yetis slightly up the path past the Monastery. Start your search at 40, 46 and also check 39, 53.
Check Secondary Spawn Area
If spawns are sparse near the Monastery entrance, move further out and search at 30, 55, where additional Kun-Lai Runts have been reported, though quality may be lower.
Tips
The Kun-Lai Runt is Humanoid, so it takes 33% reduced damage from Critter attacks while also dealing 50% bonus damage to Critters with its Beast-type moves, making it effective against trainer teams built around Critters.
Some Kun-Lai Runts can be phased and invisible to characters who have completed all quests in Kun-Lai Summit — if pets disappear as you approach, try searching on a lower-level character that has not completed the zone's quests.
