Obtain the TCG Loot Card
The Hippogryph Hatchling comes from the Thunderhead Hippogryph loot card, found in Heroes of Azeroth booster packs at a rate of roughly 1 in every 242 packs. If you don't want to buy booster packs, the loot card can be purchased from other players on eBay or similar marketplaces.
Redeem Your Loot Card
Once you have the loot card, head to Booty Bay and find the NPC with two bodyguards — one of the bodyguards rides a turtle — to redeem your card for the in-game pet.
