Obtain the TCG Loot Card
The Dragon Kite comes from the 'Kiting' loot card found in March of the Legion booster packs at a rate of 1 in 363 packs. Booster boxes contain 24 packs, meaning most players purchase the redeemable loot code directly from secondary markets such as eBay rather than opening packs.
Redeem Your Loot Code
Once you have the loot card, redeem its code on the official World of Warcraft website to receive the Dragon Kite in your in-game collection. The version obtained this way is tradeable and can be crated and sold on the Auction House, unlike Twitch drop versions of the pet.
Purchase from Craggle Wobbletop
If you have already redeemed a code or want to buy it from another player, Craggle Wobbletop at 56.4, 67.4 in Stormwind City is the vendor associated with this item.
Tips
When summoned, the Dragon Kite randomly appears in one of four color schemes: red, blue, green, or purple.
Roughly once per hour, a bolt of lightning will strike the kite, travel down the string, and zap your character with a screen shake — it deals no damage.
Mounting while the Dragon Kite is summoned will cause it to disappear.
