Guide awaiting review

1

Collect 250 unique pets

Collect 250 unique pets to complete the Going to Need More Leashes achievement and automatically receive the Feral Vermling.

2

Use Feral Vermling in PvP

The Feral Vermling has strong attack power and health, and its naturally high speed makes it a standout PvP pet — use Tongue Lash for a bonus strike when faster than the opponent, Backflip to force the enemy to skip a turn, and Sticky Goo to lock an opponent's pet on the field for 5 rounds.

3

Leverage Sticky Goo switching

Apply Sticky Goo to the enemy pet and then swap Feral Vermling out for a stronger pet, leaving your opponent unable to switch for up to 5 rounds.

4

Note the Hopling comparison

Compared to the Hopling, the Feral Vermling has stronger attack power and health, though Hopling has higher speed — so if speed synergy is the priority, Hopling may serve that role better.

Tips

  • Being a Humanoid pet, Feral Vermling heals itself by 4% of its maximum health every turn, and DoT effects guarantee this healing triggers even on turns when the main attack misses.

  • Sticky Goo can be used offensively as a setup tool: lock the enemy pet in place, then switch to a pet better suited to exploit that matchup.
