1

Locate a Neverending Spritewood

Head to the Timeless Isle and search the rock walls surrounding the Everlasting Spritewood tree for a large purple crystal called a Neverending Spritewood. Four known spawn locations are at 47.9, 73.5 — at 44.73, 70.45 — at 45, 75.74 — and at 46.3, 71. Note that the Neverending Spritewood does not show the crossed-sword icon on the minimap like other rare events, so scan the walls carefully.

2

Interact and Engage Sprites

Click the Neverending Spritewood to receive a buff that lasts 1 minute — this spawns a Scary Sprite and also allows you to attack the nearby Nice Sprites. Each Sprite has roughly 300,000 HP and hits for 7,000–12,000 per strike, but pulling 20 or more at once will cause the damage to stack up dangerously, so fight a controlled number at a time.

3

Kill Scary Sprites for Drop

Defeat the Scary Sprites before your 1-minute buff expires, as they are the source of the Dandelion Frolicker. If no loot appears on the Scary Sprite's body, use Herbalism on the corpse — the pet has been reported to appear in herbing loot alongside coins and vendor trash rather than in the standard loot window.

4

Use Consumables to Spawn More Scary Sprites

To maximize the number of Scary Sprites that spawn, consume the Singing Crystal, Dew of Eternal Morning, and Book of the Ages buffs, tap a buff stone, and eat a nearby fruit for the nutriment buff. Additional items that can help include Thick Pi'jiu Brew, Strange Glowing Mushroom, and Faintly-Glowing Herb — the Thick Pi'jiu Brew's spectral brewmaster minion has been reported to help spawn up to 3 Scary Sprites in a single activation.

5

Track Daily Crystal Interactions

The Neverending Spritewood resets daily, so only one interaction per character per day is possible. If running multiple characters across the spawn points at 47.9, 73.5 — 44.73, 70.45 — 45, 75.74 — and 46.3, 71, use the following macro to track which characters have already clicked the crystal that day: /run for k, v in pairs({ Mistwalker = 33374, Trivia = 33211, Spritewood = 32961, Zarhym = 32962, Archiereus = 33312}) do print(format("%s: %s", k, IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(v) and "124cff00ff00Done124r" or "124cffff0000Not Done124r")) end

Tips

  • The Scary Sprite spawn rate from a single Neverending Spritewood interaction appears to be random — using the Thick Pi'jiu Brew's spectral brewmaster minion has been reported to produce better results than no minion or a spectral windwalker minion.

  • If a legendary item happens to be present when the crystal spawns, equipping it can further improve your combat effectiveness against the Sprites.
