Enter Molten Core
Travel to Molten Core and locate Magmadar at 69.4, 23.6. Defeat Magmadar for a chance to receive the Corefire Imp as a drop, noting that the drop rate was tuned around a group of three players, so solo farming may require multiple runs.
Choose Rush Over Burn
When building your Corefire Imp's moveset, favor Rush over Burn as your primary attack — since the imp is Humanoid and takes reduced damage from Critters, Rush makes it particularly effective and leaves Flying as its only real weakness.
Use Imp For Wild Pet Farming
The Corefire Imp excels at soloing teams of wild pets at its own level thanks to its self-healing from both its second-slot abilities and its Humanoid passive heal, making it a strong choice for farming rare wild pets or passively leveling other pets alongside it.
Tips
The Corefire Imp's second-slot abilities deal damage over multiple rounds and trigger the Humanoid heal on each hit, so applying them early in a fight maximizes your healing returns.
Rush negates the speed advantage that Flying pets normally have, partially offsetting the imp's weakness to that pet type.
Avoid using the Corefire Imp against pets with strong damage-over-time abilities, as its low HP pool makes it vulnerable in prolonged attrition fights.
