Quest reward from Adopting the Adorable. This little guy has had a rough start at life, be sure to take good care of him. Beast type. You can obtain this little guy by rescuing him from the sprite attack in a small cave south to Lunarwing Shallows in Val'sharah.

Ashmaw Cub is a Battle Pet obtained by completing the quest Adopting the Adorable in Val'sharah, rewarded after rescuing a Shivering Ashmaw Cub from a sprite attack inside a small cave.

Travel to Lorlathil
Begin at the Lorlathil flight point in Val'sharah. From there, follow the road south toward the water, then turn right and head toward Lunarwing Shallows.
Find the Cave
At the far corner of Lunarwing Shallows, locate the small cave at 52.8, 87.5 in Val'sharah. Inside you will find a Shivering Ashmaw Cub near a dead Ashmaw Mauler.
Talk to the Shivering Cub
Speak with the Shivering Ashmaw Cub at 52.8, 87.5 in Val'sharah to trigger the event, then defeat the incoming waves of Malicious Sprites and Jinikki the Puncturer to protect him.
Complete Adopting the Adorable
After successfully defending the cub, complete the quest Adopting the Adorable to receive the Ashmaw Cub as your reward.
