Obtain the TCG Loot Card
The Imp in a Ball comes from the Fortune Telling loot card in the Dark Portal TCG expansion. Dark Portal booster boxes contain 24 packs and the Fortune Telling card appears at a rate of 1 in every 484 packs. If purchasing a sealed box is not practical, codes and cards are available from secondary markets such as eBay, where Buy It Now prices typically start around $50 USD and reach up to $75 USD.
Redeem Your Loot Code
Once you have the Fortune Telling loot card, scratch off the code on the card and redeem it through the official loot redemption process to receive the Imp in a Ball toy in your account.
Tips
Right-clicking the Imp in a Ball prompts the imp to shake and deliver a fortune — recorded responses include lines such as 'Definitely.', 'I don't think so, boss.', 'It's as sure as the warts on my backside', and a Lost reference: '4 8 15 16 23 42'. See video guide for more details.
The imp makes the same sound as when a warlock summons an Imp in-game, and a future patch was noted to potentially allow the imp to speak to your whole party in party chat.
