The Flag of Ownership is a toy obtained from the 'Owned!' loot card found in the World of Warcraft TCG expansion Drums of War, released on October 28, 2008, and can also be found on the Auction House from other players.

Obtain the Drums of War Loot Card
The Flag of Ownership comes from the 'Owned!' loot card inside Drums of War booster packs. The card appears approximately once every 181 booster packs, making purchasing a sealed box of 24 boosters (approximately $65 USD including shipping) yield an average cost of around $490 USD to obtain this loot through booster packs alone. Purchasing the loot card or a redeemed code directly from the Auction House or player resellers is typically the more practical option.
Redeem and Use the Toy
Once redeemed, the toy plants a flag on the nearest corpse within melee range — you do not need to target the corpse. The flag lasts 60 seconds and has a 60-second cooldown, meaning a new flag can be planted the moment the previous one disappears. Binding it to a finishing ability such as an execute skill is a reliable way to trigger it automatically near a freshly killed target.
Tips
The flag automatically plants on the nearest corpse, so positioning close to your target when landing the killing blow ensures reliable placement.
Because the cooldown matches the flag's duration exactly, chaining flags in rapid succession during back-to-back kills in PvP — such as Warsong Gulch — is entirely possible.
