The Wood Wasp is a wild pet found in Gorgrond on Draenor, part of the Draenor Safari achievement.

Travel to Gorgrond
Head to Gorgrond and search the area around the Ruins of the First Bastion Bonus Objective zone. Only one Wood Wasp tends to spawn there at a time as a primary pet.
Hunt secondary spawns
If you cannot find a Wood Wasp as a primary, battle other pets in the area — the Leopard Tree Frog, Junglebeak, Twilight Wasp, Amberbarb Wasp, Gold Beetle, Brown Marmot, Axebeak Hatchling, and Parched Lizard can all have a Wood Wasp appear as a secondary pet.
Hunt the dark color variant
The Wood Wasp has two color options, with the dark skin being roughly a 1% chance to appear. Repeatedly entering and exiting battles in the area is the known method to eventually encounter the dark variant as a backline pet.
Tips
A rare quality Wood Wasp has been found as a backline pet to a Parched Lizard, so do not forfeit secondary-pet battles before checking all slots.
