Travel to Tanaan Jungle
The closest flight path to the Violet Firefly spawn locations is the Ruins of Kra'nak. From there, head to 29.70, 39.13 just off the road to Ruins of Kra'nak where a single firefly can be found flying alone.
Check the Legendary Pet Area
A second spawn location is at 32.03, 37.55 near the Legendary boss pet in Tanaan Jungle, where a Violet Firefly flutters around the area on its own.
Find Violet Firefly as Secondary Pet
If you struggle to find a primary spawn, Violet Firefly also appears as a secondary pet in battles near Vol'mar in Tanaan Jungle — a blue quality one has been found as a backline pet while fighting a Tree Python there.
Tips
The Violet Firefly also appears as a secondary pet on the beaches in the Jandvik area of Suramar, giving you an alternative zone to hunt for it.
