Guide awaiting review

1

Travel to Brennadam

Head to Brennadam in Stormsong Valley and watch for the pet icon on your minimap. If you see the icon but no chickens are visible, check inside the coop that the stable master is leaning on — chickens can spawn inside it.

2

Choose Your Target Breed

Valley Chicken comes in P/P, P/B, and S/S breeds, and Rare quality does exist. The P/P breed is a strong choice depending on your intended use.

3

Catch the Three Unique Colors

Valley Chicken has six coat colors total, but only three are exclusive to it: a speckled variant, a New Hampshire Red, and a buff with grey tail. Since you can only hold three Valley Chickens in your collection, prioritize catching one of each of these three colors to complete those dex entries, as the other three colors (Grey, White, Buff) can be obtained on other existing chicken pets.

4

Use Against Undead Enemies

Valley Chicken performs well against undead enemies that use Beast-type moves. A reliable ability setup is Scratch in slot one for consistent critter damage, Flock in slot two for three rounds of escalating flying damage while the target takes 50% increased damage for two rounds, and Preen in slot three to heal and boost your own damage by 25% for two rounds.

Tips

  • Casting Flock summons flockmates of every color, letting you compare the red and buff/yellow skins side-by-side to tell them apart.
