Guide awaiting review
Travel to Thousand Needles
Head to the southern side of Thousand Needles and search in and around the various Twilight encampments, where Twilight Iguanas spawn throughout the area.
Hunt During Daytime Hours
These pets appear during daytime server hours — sightings around 2:00pm server time confirmed multiple spawns at Twilight Bulwark, while late-night searches around 10:30pm server time yielded none.
Use a Targeting Macro
Twilight Iguanas are dark blue-green and blend into the background, making them very difficult to spot visually, so a /targetexact or /tar macro will help you detect them without relying on sight alone.
Clear Mobs Before Battling
Twilight-affiliated mobs surround the encampments and can interfere, especially at lower levels — clear the nearby enemies first, then engage the Twilight Iguana in a pet battle.
Use the Lakota Windsong Disguise
If you are in your early 40s, completing quests from Lakota Windsong grants a disguise that makes the Twilight faction friendly, letting you search the encampments without fighting through hostile mobs.
Tips
Killing local Twilight-affiliated mobs and battling Scorpids and other nearby pets may influence respawn rates, though this has not been confirmed.
