Battle Pet· Wrath of the Lich KingWILDPETFlying type
Pet Battle

From Pilgrim. A key food source during the Feast of Winter Veil. Flying type. These can also be found in Westguard Keep. Still not a Horde-friendly location in the least, but at least a second place to be able to pick up your gobbler.

The Turkey is a wild battle pet found in Northrend, primarily in Howling Fjord, and can be captured through pet battles in the wild.

Guide awaiting review

1

Head to Valgarde

The greatest concentration of Turkey battle pets is found in Valgarde in Howling Fjord. Note that Valgarde is an Alliance area, so Horde players should expect guard patrols.

2

Horde: Use the Utgarde Path

Horde players can take the path that runs near Utgarde Keep leading down into Valgarde. A Turkey patrols the northern part of that pathway, and the guard patrol does not walk the full length of the path, so wait at the top for guards to pass before moving into capture range.

3

Try Westguard Keep

Westguard Keep in Howling Fjord is a second location where Turkeys can be found, though it is also not a Horde-friendly area.

4

Battle Fjord Worg Pups

Horde players can also find Turkeys appearing as secondary pets in battles against Fjord Worg Pups, avoiding the need to enter Alliance-controlled towns entirely.

5

Kill Critters to Respawn Pets

In Valgarde, every Turkey spawn has a chance to be either a critter or a battle pet. Slaying the critter Turkeys causes new spawns to appear quickly, each with a fresh chance of being a capturable battle pet.

Tips

  • If a Turkey is not flagged as capturable, kill it to force a respawn with a new chance of being a battle pet.
