Topaz Shale Hatchling
Drops from Jadefang. Prized by gem crafters, the undamaged carapace of a topaz hatchling can be used to create stunning inlays for rings and bracelets. Elemental type. I don't know if it is a bug or an oversight by Blizzard or if they were just feeling generous, but when you go into Maraudon you get to a spot called Zaetar's Choice.
The Topaz Shale Hatchling is a wild battle pet found inside Maraudon, catchable in the orange (Foulspore Pools) section of the dungeon or occasionally as a secondary pet in battles across Desolace.

Enter Maraudon Orange
Travel to Maraudon and make your way to the orange side of the dungeon, known as the Foulspore Pools area. Topaz Shale Hatchlings dwell here in large numbers, though only around 10% of them will be flagged for pet battling.
Navigate From Zaetar's Choice
When you reach the area called Zaetar's Choice, you will see two centaur statues with a path between them — ignore that path. Turn right to reach the Foulspore Pools where the Topaz Shale Hatchlings are located.
Catch Secondary Pets in Desolace
Topaz Shale Hatchlings can also appear as secondary pets during battles in Desolace. If one joins a fight as a secondary pet, defeat the primary pet first, then use your trap on the Topaz Shale Hatchling, since only one pet can be trapped per battle.
Tips
The Topaz Shale Hatchling's Stone Rush ability deals damage to both your pet and itself, so bring a pet that can withstand self-damage situations from the enemy.
