Guide awaiting review

1

Travel to Felwood

Head to Felwood on Kalimdor, where the Tainted Moth has limited spawn points but can appear as the second pet to join a battle against local critters.

2

Start battles with local pets

Engage Tainted Cockroaches, Tainted Rats, or Toads in pet battles using level 20 pets — the Tainted Moth can show up as the secondary assist pet in these fights.

3

Forfeit if Moth absent

If the Tainted Moth does not appear as the assist pet, forfeit the battle and start a new one until it joins.

4

Capture carefully at low health

Reduce the Tainted Moth's health carefully before capturing, as it can take unexpectedly high damage and be killed before the capture goes through.

Tips

  • If you catch a Tainted Moth as a secondary assist pet rather than the primary target, it will change colour each time you summon it.

  • Rare quality Tainted Moths have stats of 919 health, 155 power, and 146 speed — with speed effectively at 218 in combat due to the flying pet bonus.
