From Freka Bloodaxe. Less venomous but more aggressive than other breeds of scorpion. Beast type. All of the currently available Scorpids share the same basic stats and moveset. What varies is their breed availability, and of course, looks!
The Stripe-Tailed Scorpid is a wild battle pet found primarily as a secondary pet, with some spawning as primary pets in Tanaris, and is one of six scorpion battle pets available in the game.

Hunt in Tanaris
Head to Tanaris and look for Stripe-Tailed Scorpids in the wild. They appear mainly as secondary pets in battles, though a handful spawn as primary pets in this zone.
Choose your breed
The Stripe-Tailed Scorpid is available in two breeds: H/S and S/S. Decide which breed suits your needs before taming, as breed is fixed upon capture.
Expect color variation
This scorpid comes in multiple color schemes, including a lava-accented appearance not seen on other scorpid pets, as well as red-and-black and turquoise-and-white variants depending on the quality of the pet you catch.

Tips
A previously reported bug caused this pet to change color every time it was summoned, but this was fixed in patch 5.1 — pets tamed after the fix retain a consistent color scheme.
