Travel to Silithus
Head to Silithus to find Spiky Lizard battle pets. Unlike the Spiny Lizard, which appears in Mulgore and Orgrimmar, the Spiky Lizard is found exclusively in Silithus and comes in only one color.
Battle snakes for secondaries
Fight King Snakes along the south edge of the Silithus map, as Spiky Lizards frequently appear as secondary pets in those encounters, giving more opportunities to find and capture a rare quality one.
Avoid Badlands spawns
Do not waste time hunting in Badlands — the pet battles there only include a primary and one secondary pet, which significantly reduces the chances of a Spiky Lizard appearing compared to Silithus battles.
Tips
The Spiky Lizard is a separate pet from the Spiny Lizard and counts as a distinct collectible — both are worth adding to your collection.
Available breeds for the Spiky Lizard include P/P, S/S, and H/H, with base rare stats at level 25 of 1400 Health, 260 Power, and 260 Speed.
