Find Snake in Westfall
Head to Westfall where Snake can be found as a wild pet. Rare versions can spawn, so start a pet battle and forfeit if a rare Snake does not join the fight, as the respawn is quick enough to make this efficient.
Find Snake in Dustwallow Marsh
Snake also appears in Dustwallow Marsh. Note that some Snakes caught here have a color-changing quirk, appearing as brown, black, red, or green depending on when they are summoned or used in battle, even though the journal may display only one color.
Use Water Waveling for Farming
Bringing a Water Waveling pet is effective for grinding rare-quality Snakes because the wild pets in Snake spawn areas are close together and respawn quickly, letting you forfeit and re-engage battles rapidly until a rare joins.
Tips
A rare Snake caught in Dustwallow Marsh may display color-changing behavior upon summoning, cycling through brown, black, red, and green — this appears to affect only certain individuals and not all rare Snakes caught there.
