Source: Drop. The slimy coating on this otter provides excellent protection against sunburns. Aquatic type. There are a new group of pets available with the same listed source. These 'slimy' pets all have the same source - the 'Slimy Cocoon'.
The Slimy Otter is a Battle for Azeroth drop pet obtained from a Slimy Cocoon in Nazjatar, earned by feeding a Ravenous Slime over multiple days.

Unlock Nazjatar World Quests
Progress through the Nazjatar zone storyline until world quests are unlocked — this is required before the Ravenous Slime feeding mechanic becomes available to you.
Accept A Curious Discovery
Pick up the quest A Curious Discovery, which can be found in front of a Ravenous Slime in Nazjatar — this starts the feeding chain that leads to the Slimy Cocoon reward.
Feed The Ravenous Slime
Feed the Ravenous Slime each day for five consecutive days — on the fifth day, loot the Slimy Cocoon it produces, which has a chance to contain the Slimy Otter.
Repeat After Server Reset
After looting the Slimy Cocoon, the cycle resets at the next server reset, allowing you to begin feeding the same Ravenous Slime again on the same character for another attempt.
Tips
The Slimy Cocoon can drop any of the seven Slimy pets at random, including duplicates of ones you already own.
Collecting one of the Slimy pets contributes toward the achievement From The Belly Of The Jelly.
Progress on the feeding cycle does not appear to be lost if a daily reset occurs before you finish feeding.
