Charge the Lesser Keyflame
Head to the north side of Hallowfall and find the Lesser Keyflame at 64.4, 31. Charge it with 3x 
Radiant Remnants to summon Chef Dinaire.
Buy Darkroot Grippers
Speak with Chef Dinaire at 64.4, 31 and purchase Darkroot Grippers for 3x Radiant Remnants, then use the item to gain the Shadowrooted Grippers buff.
Optional: Buy Patrol Torch
Yorvas Flintstrike at 64.6, 30.6 sells the 
Patrol Torch for 5x Radiant Remnants — his Lesser Keyflame also requires 3 Radiant Remnants to charge. At least one player obtained the Shadowbog Hopper with this buff active, though it is not confirmed as required.
Pull Shadowrooted Vines
With the Shadowrooted Grippers buff active, go to the Stillstone Pond area and interact with Shadowrooted Vines at 64.6, 23.8. The vines can be difficult to spot, so use /tar Shadowrooted Vine to target them. Pull the vine until it breaks — the Shadowbog Hopper will appear directly in your bags on a successful drop, replacing a Radiant Remnant.

Use the macro /cleartarget → /targetexact Shadowrooted Vine →
