Fly to Ahn'Qiraj
Travel to Silithus and fly over the Ahn'Qiraj portion of the map — you do not need to zone into the instance itself. Scarab Hatchlings spawn throughout and around the Ahn'Qiraj gates in a variety of colors, including green and red versions that are not shared with any other pet.
Kill Sidewinders to Spawn Scarabs
Scarab Hatchlings share spawn points with Sidewinders, which are the only other primary pets in the area. Killing or battling Sidewinders can cause a Scarab Hatchling to spawn in their place, making this the most reliable method to find one.
Battle Other Zone Pets
Scarab Hatchlings can also appear as a secondary fighter during battles with other pets throughout Silithus, including alongside Sidewinders, so engaging other creatures in the zone gives additional opportunities to encounter one.
Hunt for a Rare Quality
Rare-quality Scarab Hatchlings are uncommon and may require extended farming; if you cannot find one naturally, a Battle-Stone can be used to upgrade a lower-quality catch to rare.
Tips
Scarab Hatchlings come in four colors — green and red are not shared with any other pet, while yellow is shared with Sand Scarab and blue is shared with Tol'vir Scarab.
