Scalded Basilisk Hatchling
Source: Pet Battle. This grumpy species of basilisk roams the Blade's Edge Mountains, avoiding contact with other critters whenever possible. Beast type. The suggestion on the Skittering Cavern Crawler page was to just come up here and farm the Scalded Basilisk Hatchlings, and man was THAT a good idea!

Travel to Skald
Head to the northeast corner of Blade's Edge Mountains, just east of Gruul's Lair in the area called Skald. Scalded Basilisk Hatchlings spawn here as level 18 beasts and can be found grouped together.
Battle for a Rare
The spawn rate in Skald is fast, allowing nearly non-stop farming. A strong level 22 pet can handle these battles solo, which lets you level a second pet at the same time by bringing it along for a finishing blow.
Watch Secondary Battle Adds
While farming for a rare Scalded Basilisk Hatchling, secondary pets that join battles — including Rock Vipers, Brown Marmots, and Rabbits — can also be captured as rares, so battle every fight to completion.
Tips
Skittering Cavern Crawlers also appear in this area as secondary battle adds, making this location efficient for capturing multiple rare pets at once.
