Pet Battle

Sold by Bonepicker. They are so cute before they develop razor-sharp teeth and venom. Dragonkin type. So Blizzard makes a neat new ability to increase dot damage, and the only collectable pet in the game that gets the ability..

The Saurolisk Hatchling is a Battle for Azeroth wild pet that can also be purchased from vendors using Polished Pet Charms, and is cageable on the Auction House.

Guide awaiting review

1

Purchase From A Vendor

Horde and Alliance players can purchase the Saurolisk Hatchling from Happy Holaua in Dazar'alor for 200 Polished Pet Charms, while Alliance players can alternatively buy it from Madeline Netley in Stormsong Valley for the same price — Alliance players are recommended to use the Stormsong Valley vendor.

2

Use Rush On Turn One

Open with Rush on the first turn to gain a speed bonus, which lets you move first on the following turn and use Burrow to dodge an incoming attack. Because the speed buff expires before your Burrow surfaces, you attack second when emerging, effectively dodging a second attack as well.

3

Follow Up With Feign Death

After surfacing from Burrow, use Feign Death to dodge a third consecutive attack, then swap in a pet that can apply damage-over-time effects to pair with Toxic Bite — pets that benefit from increased dot damage or cause enemies to take more damage from a source work particularly well alongside the Saurolisk Hatchling.

4

Check Bonepicker In Mechagon

If you prefer to acquire the pet through the Auction House or trade, Bonepicker at 65.4, 23.2 in Mechagon is a vendor worth checking as a secondary option for pet-related purchases in the area.

Tips

  • The Saurolisk Hatchling appears to be P/B breed based on its uncommon level 1 stats of 11 power, 10 speed, and 150 HP, though breed matters less if you are using it primarily for Toxic Bite into a Feign Death swap strategy.
