Rock Viper
Sold by Breanni. Long ago, Mount Hyjal's druids tempered this species to live in peace alongside the region's other creatures. Beast type. Caught a Rare quality one of these in Desolace that I had levelled to level 15, then while I was in Mount Hyjal I had the opportunity to catch a level 20 Rare quality one.
The Rock Viper is a wild battle pet found in zones such as Mount Hyjal and Desolace, where it can be caught in Rare quality at varying levels.

Hunt In Multiple Zones
Rock Vipers can be found and caught in both Desolace and Mount Hyjal, with Mount Hyjal offering higher-level specimens such as level 20 Rare quality individuals.
Check Minimap Pawprints
In Mount Hyjal, not every Rock Viper is a battle pet — only those showing a pawprint on the minimap are catchable and count toward pet-related achievements, so watch for the pawprint indicator before engaging.
Compare Skins Before Releasing
Rock Vipers can appear in distinct shades of blue that are not obviously different at a glance; compare any duplicates side by side in your pet journal before releasing one, as you may be holding two visually different versions of the same pet.
Tips
Rock Vipers found in Blade's Edge Mountains will not count toward the To All the Squirrels Who Cared for Me achievement.
