Source: Pet Battle. These blisteringly hot spiders camouflage themselves by blending in with oozing magma. Beast type. These pets will only spawn in the lava pools across this zone. That said, they're a relatively uncommon spawn.

The Molten Hatchling is a wild spider battle pet found in Searing Gorge that disguises itself among lava pools.

Guide awaiting review

1

Head to Searing Gorge

Travel to Searing Gorge and focus your search on the lava pools throughout the zone. A reliable starting point is at 58, 44.9, near the Sea of Cinders area where multiple lava pool spawns are clustered.

2

Kill All Lava Crabs

Molten Hatchlings share spawn points with Lava Crabs at roughly a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio in favor of Lava Crabs. Kill every Lava Crab you find on or immediately adjacent to lava pools — whether they are available to battle or not — to force Molten Hatchlings to have a chance to spawn in their place.

3

Clear All Battle Pets

There appears to be a cap on how many battle pets can be active in the zone at once. Kill any battle-ready Ash Spiders and Fire Beetles you encounter across Searing Gorge to free up spawn slots for Molten Hatchlings.

4

Circuit and Wait

After clearing lava crabs and other battle pets across the zone, wait approximately 15 minutes before running the circuit again. Molten Hatchlings are uncommon spawns with around 564 HP, and rare quality variants appear to be difficult to find, so multiple circuits are typically required.

Tips

  • Molten Hatchlings never appear as a secondary pet in battles, so you must find and engage them directly as the primary wild pet.

  • The small spider camp south of the Sea of Cinders area near 58, 44.9 can have up to five battle pets active at once, making it a high-priority patrol stop.
