Malfunctioning Microbot
Source: Pet Battle. Doesn't remember what it was originally programmed to do, just wants to battle other pets. Mechanical type. If you want to capture one of these, before you attack it, check its attacks. If it has 'Explode' on the bar, flee from the battle, then re-engage.
The Malfunctioning Microbot is a wild Battle for Azeroth pet found in the industrial areas of Mechagon that can be captured as both a primary and secondary pet.

Head to Industrial Area
Travel to the industrial areas of Mechagon Island to find the Malfunctioning Microbot. It spawns more commonly closer to hostile areas and can also appear as a secondary pet in battles against other creatures such as the Junkheap Roach.
Check for Explode Ability
Before attempting to capture one, check its ability bar. If Explode is shown, flee the battle and re-engage until you find one without Explode on its bar — only then is it safe to capture.
Weaken via Secondary Position
If the Malfunctioning Microbot appears in the back row of a battle, use a pet with healing and area abilities to chip away at it while it is still in the back row, so it is weakened enough to capture safely when it moves to the front.
Note the Three Models
The Malfunctioning Microbot comes in three visual variants: one with a blue goggle appearance, one with a flashing light on its head, and one with a nozzle for a nose.
Tips
This pet counts toward the Mecha-Safari achievement alongside other Mechagon pets including the Junkheap Roach, Mechagon Marmot, Scrapyard Tunneler, Rustbolt Clucker, Yellow Junkhopper, and Specimen 97.
