Magmashell Crawler
Source: Pet Battle. Not to be kept indoors if you live in a wooden house. Elemental type. Just got one as side pet in Ringing Deeps fighting a Common Ploughworm (right at the entrance at the zone).
The Magmashell Crawler is a wild battle pet found in The War Within, obtainable in Dornogal and as a secondary pet in Ringing Deeps and Hallowfall.

Check Ringing Deeps First
The fastest method is to find the Magmashell Crawler as a secondary (backline) pet while fighting a Common Ploughworm near the entrance of Ringing Deeps at 43.2, 23.9. This is significantly more reliable than waiting for a direct spawn.
Hunt in Dornogal Forgegrounds
If you prefer a direct catch, head to the furnace vent area in Dornogal at 50.6, 17.8. The Magmashell Crawler has an extremely long respawn timer of roughly 30 minutes or more, and critter (non-battle) versions occupy the same spawn points. Killing the critter versions can eventually trigger a battle pet version to appear. Spawns are level 1, so bring a level 1 pet or a safe capture pet like a Terrible Turnip to avoid accidentally killing it.
Try Hallowfall as Backline
The Magmashell Crawler also appears as a secondary pet while battling a Vibrant Glowfly or Azure Flickerfly near the Hallowfall Gate at 50.4, 54.2 and 50, 65.6 in Hallowfall.
Tips
Critter versions of this pet do not count as battle pets — killing them off helps trigger a proper battle pet spawn in Dornogal.
