Guide awaiting review
Hunt Maggots in Howling Fjord
Head to Halgrind in Howling Fjord, the undead blight-testing town north of New Agamand. Maggots here are levels 20–21 and drop to level 19 upon taming. Note that this is a questing area and may be phased.
Find Rare Maggots in Hinterlands
Maggots can appear as secondary pets while battling other creatures such as brown marmots in the Hinterlands — this is a confirmed way to encounter a rare-quality Maggot at level 12.
Battle Maggots in Hillsbrad Foothills
In the Ruins of Southshore within Hillsbrad Foothills, Maggots spawn alongside rats and also appear as backup pets in rat battles, giving you additional capture opportunities.
Check Maggot Health for Quality
At level 21, Uncommon Maggots have around 1080–1142 health and Common ones range from 1079–1091 at level 20. Maggots respawn in clusters of 5 or 6, so stay in the area to find higher-quality variants. Both white and brown color variants are visible before starting a battle.
Tips
Maggots have an ability called Sticky Goo that is effective against mechanical units, but it is not available until level 15.
At rare quality level 25, the Maggot has a base health of 1400, power of 260, and speed of 260.
