Lost Limb
Drops from Sanngror the Torturer. Fragments of souls abound in the Maw, searching for meaning, or an end to their torment. But some just want to give you a hand. Undead type. Beware! If it has Unholy Ascension in it's rotation then quit the battle and rejoin once again.
Lost Limb is a wild battle pet found in The Maw during the Shadowlands expansion, captured by engaging it in a pet battle.

Travel to spawn areas
Lost Limb spawns across multiple locations in The Maw. Work through these waypoints to find one: at 38, 62 then at 36, 59, at 34, 55, at 30, 42, at 24, 38, at 22, 35, at 24, 28, at 25, 24, at 31, 18, at 32, 25, at 29, 32, at 28, 33, at 27, 35, at 36, 32, and at 39, 27.
Manage shared spawns
Lost Limb shares its spawn with Clinging Remains, plus critter versions of both pets. When you encounter a critter Lost Limb or critter Clinging Remains, kill it to force a new spawn. If you encounter the battle pet Clinging Remains instead, you must enter the battle and defeat the Clinging Remains in the first slot before quitting — simply ignoring it will not cause it to despawn and free up the spawn point.
Check for Unholy Ascension
Before attempting to capture Lost Limb, check its ability list at the start of the battle. If Unholy Ascension is in its rotation, immediately forfeit and re-enter the battle until you find one without Unholy Ascension — a Lost Limb that uses it will sacrifice itself, making capture impossible.
Hunt the S/B breed specifically
If you are hunting the S/B breed of Lost Limb at Rare quality, note that it has an effective strategy for leveling two other pets simultaneously during the Super Squirt power-leveling event. Use the waypoints listed in step 1 as general search areas, as each location has been confirmed to spawn either a battle pet or a critter to kill.

If you prefer an alternative source, Lost Limb can also be purchased from Sanngror the Torturer at 55.4, 63.4 in The Maw.
Tips
Lost Limb can also appear as a back-line pet when you initiate a battle against Clinging Remains, giving you an additional capture opportunity without needing a dedicated Lost Limb spawn.
